Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and articulate Business Development Manager based in Colombia to join our commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting UK-based eCommerce retailers into CapRelease customers. You will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close, and communicating exclusively in English with prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
• Proactively identify and qualify UK eCommerce retailers that could benefit from CapRelease’s inventory-backed financing solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle: outbound prospecting, discovery calls, product demonstrations, proposal delivery, negotiation, and closing.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo.io).
• Develop a deep understanding of CapRelease’s product suite,
• Collaborate closely with the Commercial and operations teams to refine messaging, sales collateral, and go-to-market strategy.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, target verticals, and competitive positioning within UK eCommerce and alternative finance.
• Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, conversion metrics, and market feedback.
• Represent CapRelease professionally in all communications, maintaining brand standards and tone of voice.
• Meet the goals and indicators for market penetration and disbursements.
Requirements
Essential
• Language: Native or near-native English proficiency (C2 level)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management, ideally selling to UK or international markets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility with UK business owners and decision-makers.
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of financial products, lending, or fintech concepts.
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.
• Comfortable working UK business hours (GMT/BST).
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales engagement tools.
Desirable
• Previous experience selling financial services, lending products, or SaaS to eCommerce businesses.
• Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce) and the UK retail landscape.
• Experience with outbound sales tools such as Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar.
• Understanding of supply chain finance, purchase order financing, or revenue-based finance.
• Track record of exceeding sales targets in a remote or distributed team.
